'Clothilde Souper' , an ancient Chinese rose variety, It reaches a height of 80–150 cm and produces blooms 6–8 cm in diameter with 50–60 petals. The flower shape is extremely full and compact; the color is pale pink, nearly white—with a light pink center and white outer petals—and the light-colored cup-shaped blooms turn deep pink on cool nights. The blooms hang downward and emit a sweet, strong fragrance, with thin but numerous petals. It is a very prolific bloomer, continuing to flower until late autumn, but its blooms are not rain-tolerant and will rot when exposed to rain. The plant has a compact, upright habit with soft branches, making it suitable for cultivation as a small climbing rose. It has moderate resistance to black spot disease but requires attention to powdery mildew—however, the incidence of powdery mildew is relatively low under well-ventilated conditions and can be completely avoided with proper prevention.
