Princess Miyuki (美雪公主), introduced by Keiji Kunieda of Wabara, Japan, was launched in 2016 as part of the Japanese Princess Series.
The rose “Princess Miyuki” (also translated as “Princess Miyuu” or “First Snow”) grows to a height of about 100 cm. Its blooms, measuring 8-10 cm in diameter, feature 50-80 densely packed petals in a pure white, cup-shaped form. It has a delightful fragrance that is sweet with a hint of spiciness, reminiscent of anise. The vase life is 8-10 days.
The plant is upright, with deep green foliage and excellent disease resistance.
The name “Miyuki” is commonly used for Japanese women and carries meanings such as “first snow” and “beautiful snow.” The rose “Princess Miyuki” was aptly named for its stunning snowy-white appearance.
