The herb rose "Ramukan" was bred by Hiroshi Ogawa (Japan, before 2013). The Japanese name is ラムカン.
The shrub rose "Herb" reaches a height of about 80-100 cm, with flowers 6-10 cm in diameter. The blooms are deep pink to purple, with a reddish center and petals that have a slight pinkish sheen at the edges. The rose has a light, fresh fragrance. It boasts over a hundred intricately arranged wavy petals. The vibrant color and unique flower shape occasionally reveal a yellowish-green center (referred to as "green nostril hairs").
Depending on the season and growth stage, the rose exhibits different appearances. In the early stages, it is a deep peach-pink color, transitioning to a purplish-red in the middle stage, and finally turning a pinkish-purple in the later stage. Each phase offers a different beauty to appreciate. The rose has excellent blooming characteristics and a long-lasting bloom.
The "Herb" plant is not tall, with a compact branch structure and deep green leaves. It is highly resistant to diseases and pests.
