Cinderella has pink flowers with a mild apple fragrance. The average diameter is 10 cm, making it a medium to large flower. The flowers are very full (41+ petals), clustered, cup-shaped, with an old-fashioned bloom form. They bloom continuously throughout the season. The buds are round.
The plant is tall, about 150 cm high, arching, dense, upright, and well-branched. The leaves are glossy, deep green, and dense. Cinderella can be used for cut flowers, gardens, landscaping, and can also be trained as a climbing rose. Its greatest advantage is its strong disease resistance, particularly to black spot. Timely pruning of the flowers can promote reblooming.
This rose is part of Kordes’ Fairy Tale Rose series, featuring very full old-fashioned blooms, This series of roses has better disease resistance and is especially fragrant. At the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden in the New York Botanical Garden, which does not use any fungicides, this rose is rated as one of the best-performing roses. It may bloom profusely in humid weather.
